Course:We have Japanese language for higher education course and General Japanese language course.

■Japanese language for higher education course:

For those who want to further their study in vocational schools, university or graduate school.
Course completion occurs in March every year, further study from April.
Course duration is determined by the time of admission.

■General Japanese Language Course

For those who do not wish to further their study in professional schools after graduation, one can also apply for a college visa and continue long term study.

Short term course
Choice of course duration starting from 1 week.Suitable for students holding temporary visa.

Class

■Multinational student classes
Our students come from over 25 countries and regions around the world.
As the everyone's mother native language is different, the common language in the classroom is Japanese.

■Lessons are taught in Japanese by native Japanese instructors.
Instruction is only in Japanese.Teachers will use pictures and photos as teaching materials, so that even those who have little Japanese language experience can understand.By studying in a Japanese-speaking environment, not only you can understand the concept of Japanese language directly, (as the communication between teachers and students is Japanese), your conversation ability will improve rapidly.

■Class divided by level
There's a level check during the time of application, and a placement test at your enrollment, which enables us to put you into the appropriate class.
Please contact us in advance regarding the level of the class that is being offered at the time of enrollment.

■Small group
10~20 students per class.A small group allows one to better concentrate on their studies.
More opportunities for conversation practice, your conversation ability will be boosted.

■Lessons "using" Japanese

Taking advantage of a multinational class, there are many opportunities to speak with each other in Japanese during class time.
In class, we will conduct tasks fitting your level such as presentations, speech contests and pair work. >br /> In Japan, English is not widely used, so living in Japan itself already means you are on your path to study.

■Lessons incorporate interaction with Japanese people.

There is also the opportunity to learn together with the students from the Japanese Teacher Training Department.
You can make friends with Japanese-speakers and help each other to learn.
In addition, there will be visit to Japanese primary and secondary schools nearby every year.
It will be a very good practice to chat with Japanese children.

■Further study support

In intermediate and higher level classes, Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JPLT) specialized exam preparation will be offered as EJU and JLPT are necessary for further studies.

Airport Pick-up Service

We will prepare a sign with your name written to pick you up at the airport and send you directly to the dormitory or apartment by taxi.

Japanese Language Institute of Sapporo would like all students enrolled to join the student insurance program.
If you have already subscribed to insurance (expecting to subscribe), please submit the details of the subscribed insurance to us.
You can also apply for insurance at school.
This insurance will only apply during your period of enrollment.
